Counts include every difficulty. The game shows the movies available at your selected level.
The one-second movie challenge
Explore horror, sci-fi, animation, action, comedy, thriller, drama, fantasy, romance and crime with short video clues. Choose a collection above, open its game and watch a trailer clip. Recognize the film, search for its title and select the correct release year.
Start with familiar favourites or explore another genre. Every collection uses four chances and progressive clues. Category counts show the full collection; the game shows how many films are available at your selected difficulty.
Watch. Guess. Reveal.
Choose an available difficulty. One second of a familiar face, setting or sound may be enough.
Try Horror for suspense, Sci-Fi for imagined worlds, or Animation for distinctive styles. Action and Comedy offer familiar scenes. Pick a difficulty that suits you.
Press Play, then type a movie title. Select the matching film and year from the suggestions before submitting. Replay the unlocked clip whenever you need another look or listen.
A wrong guess or Skip uses a chance and unlocks more footage: three, six, then ten seconds. After the last chance, the answer appears and another round is ready.
Built for movie lovers
Recognize scenes, explore a favourite genre, or return here for a different challenge.
Every round comes from the collection you opened. A Horror game stays with horror films, including when you finish a round and choose Next.
Five difficulty labels make the range clear. Levels with smaller collections are marked as coming soon and open when enough movies have been added.
Watch an unlocked clip again without spending a chance. Look for a costume, location or familiar voice before deciding whether you need more footage.
Each genre keeps its own saved round in your browser session. Explore another collection and return later, or refresh without starting the question again.
Search suggestions include movie titles and years. That helps you separate originals, remakes and sequels, so a close name does not become the wrong answer.
At the end of a round, save your cinema ticket or copy the result. Your genre link invites friends to play without revealing your movie.
Before the opening scene
A few things to know before you choose your next collection.
Yes. Play free, unlimited rounds in your browser with no account or download. Genre games are separate from the Daily Challenge and do not contribute to its leaderboard.
No. Identify a film from video rather than written questions about actors or awards. Watch the scene, search for the title and unlock a longer clue when needed.
Films often mix genres: animation can also be comedy, and sci-fi can include horror. Collection totals overlap, so they should not be added together as separate films.
Unavailable levels need more movies. They remain visible as coming soon but cannot start a round. Choose another level meanwhile; questions always stay within your chosen genre.
Recently played titles are avoided within your saved genre session. Repeats become possible when a smaller pool is exhausted. Clearing cookies loses the connection to that history.
Check your connection and volume, then use Retry video. If needed, choose Another movie at the same difficulty. Playback failures do not spend a guess.
The 90s, 2000s and 2010s quizzes use films first released from 1990 to 1999, 2000 to 2009 and 2010 to 2019. Each movie belongs to one decade and keeps its site-wide difficulty. The rules match the genre quizzes, and every decade saves its own progress.
