Guess the movie by the frame
Framed is a free daily movie game from Moviespot. Each day there is one mystery film and six stills from the movie. You see one frame at a time and have six guesses to name the film.
The first frame is the hardest: a place, an object or a small detail. Every wrong guess or skip reveals the next frame, with more of the story and its stars, until the sixth shows the film at its most recognisable. If you like to guess the movie by the frame, Framed is a short, spoiler-free puzzle for every day.
How to play
A round of Framed takes a few minutes. Look closely, then type a title.
Frame 1 is a still from the film. Look for the setting, the era, the colours and any faces.
Search for a movie and pick it from the list, or press Skip if you want to see more first.
A wrong guess or a skip opens the next frame. Use the numbers under the picture to look back at earlier frames.
Name the film within six guesses, then share a spoiler-free row of squares with friends.
Rules
The same rules apply to today’s film and to past films.
You win by naming the film within six guesses. After a sixth wrong guess or skip the answer is revealed.
A skip uses one guess and reveals the next frame, exactly like a wrong answer.
Every frame is a still from the film itself. Posters, artwork and pictures with titles, logos or captions are left out.
A new Framed film starts at 00:00 UTC for everyone.
Missed a day? Open Past films to play any of the last 50.
Search shows the release year, so remakes and films with the same title are easy to tell apart.

Every Framed picture is a still from the film, taken from The Movie Database (TMDB) and chosen without text or logos. Frames go from hardest to easiest: a place or detail first, the stars and the best-known scenes last.
A new Framed film starts every day at 00:00 UTC. If you are in the middle of a game at the reset, you can still finish it from Past films.
Yes. Open Past films to replay any Framed film from the last 50 days. Each day is a separate game with its own result.
Skipping uses one of your six guesses and shows the next frame. It is useful when the first frame gives you nothing to go on.
Framed shows still frames and never plays a clip while you guess. Unlimited and the Daily Challenge play short trailer clips with sound, and Spotle Movie gives clues such as director, year and cast instead of pictures.
